Welcome to Chelsea Employees Federal Credit Union, a cooperative financial institution for the employees and family members of the City of Chelsea, the Chelsea Housing Authority and the Chelsea Restoration Corporation.


CHELSEA EMPLOYEES FCU will be launching a new and enhanced version of our Online Virtual Branch service on APRIL 9, 2020.

The new service will offer new benefits and features including a streamlined interface, more time saving features and a fresh new look that makes it easier for you to perform everyday functions.

The first time you login to CHELSEA EFCU Online Virtual Branch on or after April 9, 2020, you will be asked to accept the terms and conditions.

Also, the new Logon ID’s must be at least 6 digits, so you may need to include leading zeros. For example, if your current User Logon ID is 1234, your new Logon ID will be 001234.

Please note that the Bill Pay function will not be affected. You can continue to pay bills without missing a beat. Payee addresses and your payee account information will be brought into the new Online Virtual Branch automatically.

Chelsea City Hall remains closed to the public until further notice. This means that there is no public access to the Chelsea Employees FCU office.

Chelsea Employees FCU will continue processing all ACH, Direct Deposits, Payroll Deduction, check clearing and ATM activity daily.

In addition, any requests for check withdrawals from your account will be processed and mailed to your home address. Please leave us a voice mail at 617-884-3599 with your account number and amount. You may cash these checks at TD Bank, 467 Broadway, Chelsea between the hours of 9:30 AM and 1:00 PM.

If you need to make a deposit or payment to your account, you may seal it in an envelope, labeled to the Chelsea Employees FCU, with clear deposit and account instructions, and drop it into the GREEN box next to the US Mailbox outside City Hall next to the parking lot. This green box is emptied daily.

Please utilize your Online Virtual branch, TouchBanking mobile app and CEFCU Debit Card to conduct all of your banking needs.

Chelsea Employees FCU is pleased to introduce CardValet®, a mobile card app that helps reduce account fraud by allowing members to monitor accounts with their smartphone and control how, when and where their debit card is used.

CardValet is available in the Apple® App Store or Google® Play. Once CardValet is set up, cardholders have the ability to “turn off” their card when not in use, establish transaction spending limits and decline a transaction when the amount exceeds a predefined threshold.

CEFCU is excited to offer this tool to our cardholders! Not only is CardValet user-friendly and convenient, but it will aide in our continued efforts to prevent fraud and identity theft for our members.

Here are a few helpful hints to help you safely get the most out of you Chelsea Employees FCU ATM/Debit MasterCard:

  • Many countries are automatically blocked for foreign transactions to reduce fraud; SO LET THE CU KNOW WHEN YOU ARE TRAVELING SO WE CAN FLAG YOUR CARD FOR THAT DESTINATION.
  • Our fraud monitoring service will NEVER ask for your PIN, CVV or Social Security #. They will only verify suspicious transactions. Return their call to ensure your card will not be restricted.
  • Your limit is $300/day for PIN activity & $1000/day for signature activity.
  • Review your transactions regularly online or through your mobile app.
  • Report lost cards immediately with the CU or by calling 1-800-472-3272
  • Find AllPoint surcharge-free ATM’s at www.AllpointNetwork.com
